Here are some words to include a few words from Bill's brother Chris.

Brother Bill,

Where do I start, we were always good mates and we did a lot together in the early days Bill had a paper round and as soon as I could handle a bike Bill got me a job at the Black Rock newsagents (owed by Keith Taylor), Bill got 9 shillings a week, I got 8 so every Saturday morning Bill bought breakfast of fish and chips with vinegar he wouldn’t let me pay because he was paid more, that’s Bill. I remember they cost 6 pence, two prices of flake and chips and we could not eat them all so our dog Sandy got a treat as well.

The first vessel Bill owned was built by dad, Bill and my hindrance, it was a sabot built in the garage, he joined the Black Rock yacht Club not long later and his adventure started. I worked nights and weekends with Bill building spars to match the sail he was importing.

To me that is brother Bill always thinking of others and trying to help those he could.

His life has been spoken about by others far more articulate than I and I have a feeling words cannot describe my brother or his love for his family.
